Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ail was born January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky. His real name was Cassius Marcellus clay Jr.He was a African American raised in the south. When he was 12 years old he discovered his talent for boxing. When his bike was stolen he got so mad that he wanted to fight him. He went to the the police and told the man that his bike was stolen the man he told was Joe Martin he was a boxing coach. Joe Martin showed Muhammad Ail how to box like a pro.    

 In 1965 Muhammad ail was 18 when he won his first gold medal as a boxer. A year later Muhammad Ail won the gelded gloves championship for light heavyweight class. Three years later Muhammad Ail won the golden gloves tournament of champions and the amateur Athletic union’s national title for the light-heavyweight division. In 1960, Ail won a spot on the U.S. Olympic boxing team.

He was not afraid of anyone and he proved to everyone that he was the greatest of all time. Ail told reporters that he can “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”.He was a influential African American man. He believes in peace on earth, which is why he did not join the Amy.He  was a great fighter and his legacy will continue.
