Muhammad Ali

Muhammad Ali was born on January 17, 1942. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky. When he was 12 he started to like boxing. His bike was stolen, and he wanted to beat up the thief. The police officer he told was a boxing trainer. Ali started training with him.

      In 1954 he won his first fight. He won the golden gloves 1956. Ali got a spot on the U.S. Olympic team in 1960.He went to Rome, Italy, and was 6feet 3inches tall. People were scared to fight him. In 1981 Ali retired. Before in 1975 he fought Joe Frazier and lasted 14 rounds. Ali won that match. He lost to Leon Spinks in 1978.

      Muhammad Ali is a very influential person because he did not believe in war. He did not fight when they drafted him to the Vietnam War.  Muhammad was a messenger of Pease. He loved to win, but was not going to get mad just cause he lost a match. Ali was a very good boxer that lots of men and women look up to.
